Memorial Day Weekend

 We usually go to Davis campout Memorial Day Weekend, but because of COVID it as canceled. We were really sad because it's one of our favorite times of the whole year. Lisa planned a trip to St. George instead and it was so fun! We played pickle ball, went swimming a lot, hiked, ate yummy food, and hung out with family.

I love having visitors and this week we've had a few!

Tam came to visit and we had a beach day.

Thennnn, Michelle was going to Logan. I asked if it would help if I took the kids and had them sleep over. She said yes. I was stoked! I feel like I don't always get the opportunity to have sleep overs with my nieces and nephews because I live so far away, but I meet Michelle at the freeway and picked them up. We went fishing on our lake, kayaking, we had a movie party and played switch. Wes was in heaven having his cousins around and so was I. Love these kids!

Baby Girl

 It's a girl. I still can't believe it. I thought was going to be a boy mom.

Here we go, baby girl! Can't wait to meet you.

Easter

Wowowowow.

How did I get so lucky with these two? So grateful for this family of mine. So grateful for a Heavenly Father that knows me. So grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ that made it possible to be with these guys forever and baby #2. Feeling so blessed today.

 

Surprise!

Wes and I went to pick up dad from work to go visit Brent and Lisa in Kaysville. We wanted to surprise them with something we were keeping a secret for a while. 

Wes is going to be a big brother! Lisa reacted how I expected her too, jumping up and down screaming. It's so fun to tell these two big things like being pregnant!

Perfectly Posh

I've been working free lance for a company called Perfectly Posh. 

Karalee is the VP of marketing over there and called me to ask if I'd be interested in doing a design competition. I said yes without even knowing what it would entail. All of a sudden I was stuck in a competition with their top sales reps and here I was in one of the groups of three who had to design a chunk (soap bar) in less than an hour. Not only was I supposed to design a product from scratch for my team, but I was going up against the other teams who has the director of creative and director of graphic design at Perfectly Posh creating their products. Talk about stressful! 

Surprisingly, my team won! My design won!

It now going to be an official product at Perfectly Posh. I'll have to post a picture of it when it comes out. It'll take months to develop and put out on the market. 

I was so proud of myself, doing something hard that I would have never done just a few years before. I'm so grateful for what I've learned and that I'm pursuing something I absolutely love!

Thanks to Karalee for watching this little guy while I worked and to Brent for taking us out to lunch after. I have the best family!

St George-Parade of Homes

I wish I got more photos and not just of Wes! 

Tam and I went down to the St. George for the Parade of Homes. It was so fun to spend time with Michelle, Tam, and Grace. We left the kids for Emma, Tyler, Tessie, and Clara to watch.

Grace is headed on a mission to Anaheim California so I'm super excited to spend all the time I can with her before she goes. 

Wes tried out Lillies strider bike and although he's still a little small for it, he loved it!

Michelle was nice enough to take us to a pool and splash pad. Wes loved it and would try to run into the deep end. Luckily he has the best cousins and Tyler would stop him before getting too far.

Montana Winter Trip

Montana is quickly becoming one of my favorite places! I love that it's a time for family and fun. Surprise! They made me get out on the slopes again. I only go once a year, so I always get a little nervous the first run, but I feel like I'm getting better! Even though next year I'll feel like I'm a beginner again haha

This year, Wes was a little older and got to go on his first snowmobile ride...he hated it! It's one of our favorite activities. All of the snow and the pine trees is literal magic. There is nothing like it. I feel so blessed that I get to experience it with this guy.

Gosh, this little boy! He was the worst sleeper while we were there. Caleb and I would bring him in to bed and he wouldn't sleep, we'd put him back in the crib and he wouldn't sleep. Eventually we finally got him to sleep in bed with us, but he moved around like crazy! I woke up to Wes and Caleb horizontal on the bed with Wesley's bottom in Calebs face haha. It didn't help that Lisa, Makenna, and I all got sick, luckily I wasn't the one picking on the toilet, just a lot of sitting haha. Although we love Montana, were grateful to be headed home to leave the sleepless nights and sickness behind. See you in the summer! 

First Hike of the Year

 We did it. We finally got an Osprey carrier for Wes. Caleb has been carrying Wes around the house for the last little bit, experimenting with it, so it was fun to actually get out and go. 

We went in the West mountains today, which neither of us have ever done! Herriman is actually way cooler and a lot more rural the deeper you go than I first thought. It's so cool to see new places. We didn't get very far on our hike because we don't have the equipment to hike in the snow. We need some hiking boots and spikes! 

Walks

He loves to be outside, sometimes he'll just lay down, especially when mom says we have to go home. I love my little buddy and that he love being outside even more than his mama

Ice Cream and Movie

Caleb went out with some of his best friends from high school for dinner. Wes and I stayed home, so I introduced him to ice cream and a movie. He thought it was the best thing that has every happened to him, i'm pretty sure haha.
