Asking

Today Caleb asked my Dad if he could marry me.

He slept over at my parents and we woke up to watch General Conference together, then I'd sleep over at his parents for Sunday General Conference.

My dad was in town surprisingly. Ever since he started working for Action Target he hasn't been around much. He was leaving on Monday to his next job. I think Caleb had seen him maybe twice since we started dating.

During the middle of the sessions we went up the provo canyon by Sundance to see the fall colors. During our drive I told Caleb my Dad was leaving on Monday and if he wanted to propose sometime soon he needed to ask him...today. My Dad is out of town for weeks to about a month at a time. I'm laughing just thinking about it. He was not expecting to talk to my Dad that day haha, he did though. He got nervous before and it was the cutest to watch. I stayed downstairs in the basement apartment while we went upstairs. I was so tempted to listen in. So tempted.

When it was over, he came down stairs and hugged me hard. He just said, "Your dad is an amazing man and he really loves you a lot." Something I already knew and I was about to marry someone with the same qualities.
